ZOHO Marketplace removes a fake WhatsApp
Last July, an extension was published at the marketplace of ZOHO, that proposed to integrate WhatsApp with the popular ZOHO CRM. Only a few days later, this extension was eliminated by the ZOHO team that oversees the quality and legality of the published solutions.
The solution offered integration with unofficial WhatsApp using one of the many web services that exist: APIWHA. Only a few days after being published in the ZOHO market, the apiwha.com website mysteriously disappeared, to reappear as a clone that was renamed CAPIWHA. Finally, also capiwha.com disappeared.
Regardless of what illegal service is used, all these services are pursued by WhatsApp and, sooner or later, a company like ZOHO ends up disconnecting them. The reason is obvious: neither WhatsApp can offer walkaround to not pay for official ZOHO services, nor can ZOHO offer walkaround to not pay official WhatsApp. The use of services like the one indicated in APIWHA can cause your WhatsApp number and your company to have problems at any time. Your experience as a ZOHO user will be a disaster, you will start contacting ZOHO support teams without them being able to help you. This can make you angry with ZOHO, but the problem is not your CRM, is that you use a connector that is not official.
