WhatsApp Pricing Changes on July 1, 2026: What's Different, and What to Do

WhatsApp pricing changes July 1, 2026: what to know
Table of Contents
On July 1, 2026, Meta updates its WhatsApp Business Platform rates in several markets. If you message customers in Spain, Italy or the UK, marketing prices are going up.

If you send utility or authentication messages to Hong Kong, Singapore, Hungary, Romania or Qatar, those are going up too. Poland is getting cheaper.

Everywhere else, nothing changes. Here’s the before-and-after, and what’s worth doing about it.

Quick reminder: the charging model itself isn’t changing. You’re still billed per delivered template by category and recipient country, and the 24-hour service window and 72-hour Click-to-WhatsApp ad window are still free.

What's changing on July 1, 2026

All changes take effect at 12:00am in each WhatsApp Business Account’s own timezone.

What to do before July 1

You don’t need to overhaul anything, but a 15-minute check pays off:

  • Model your category mix by country. If marketing to Spain, Italy or the UK, or utility/auth to Hong Kong or Singapore, is a real share of your volume, run the new numbers so there are no invoice surprises.
  • Use your free windows properly. A surprising share of “message costs” are templates that could have gone out free inside the 24-hour service window or a 72-hour ad window. Tightening this often saves more than the rate increase itself.
  • Check your live rate. We’ve updated our pricing page for July 1, and the calculator shows your effective cost based on your own volume.
