The Meta Business Agent Platform runs on the Cloud API, so your number needs to be managed through the WhatsApp Business Platform rather than the app alone. Meta offers a separate, simpler AI agent inside the WhatsApp Business app for smaller businesses. That one has no API access, so it can’t connect to your systems, take action on your data or hand off into your CRM.
You control the agent’s name, its persona, its behavioural instructions, the knowledge it draws on and the systems it connects to.
The same as utility and authentication messages there, and there are no volume tiers on service messages.
